To supply an excavator with 4 independent legs, 4 wheel drive on a hire basis for a term of approximately 2 weeks. The legged excavator required needs to have interchangeable attachments (tree grab, flail, ditching buckets, clamshell etc….) and tilt rotator head allowing a full 360 degree working in all plains which allows it to undertake different tasks without having to move from its operating location.

Description of the contract

This machinery needs to be able to undertake vegetation control on overgrown sections of the river Leen where the works cannot be undertaken by hand with difficult access to the sites and works needing to be undertaken in an ecologically sensitive manor without disturbing the river bed or operating on top of the bank which could potentially disturb known Water Vole burrows.
