63 infant Schools
52 junior Schools
235 primary Schools
46 secondary Schools
10 special Schools
5 support centres (formerly pupil referral units)
Included in the figures above, there are 18 Schools that have enhanced resource facilities for Pupils with complex special educational needs.
Included in the figures above, there are currently 17 Schools with Academy status which are not maintained by the Council:

1 Junior
The Council wishes to include these academy status Schools in the Contract.
