II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

This is a framework contract for a period of three years. The quantity of work shall be as instructed by NIE during the contract period.
This Contract shall comprise the provision of a comprehensive fleet tracking system. The system must be capable of delivering the following benefits to NIE:
— Preventative Maintenance;
— Enhanced Fleet Utilisation;
— Reduced Fuel Consumption;
— Reduced Environmental Impact;
— Compliance with Legislation;
— Implementing Safe Driving Initiatives.
The contract is to provide hardware, installation, commissioning, training and support for the complete system including initial setup, consultancy and ongoing maintenance for hardware as well as helpdesk facilities.
A comprehensive ongoing fleet tracking and reporting service is required. The entire system must be web based. A future-proof expansion-enabled system is essential.
Optional extras will also be considered. These are detailed further within the specification and include:
Fleet Management System;
Satellite Navigation System;
Equipment Tracking Units;
Retro-Fitting Canbus Units;
Lone Worker Panic Alerts.
The successful tenderer will be required to supply, install, monitor and maintain the system and provide reports to NIE as directed.
