Supply and Installation of Posts for Running Routes

Description

Leicester City Council’s Spinney Hill Park requires the supply of the following:

Total – 51 Posts to hold arrows for running routes to the following specification:

• Galvanised and powder coated in black
• 120mm x 120mm x 1200mm long square posts.
• ‘Holding spikes’ on the bollards are 50mm each side and located 250mm from the bottom of the post.

BUT 40 of above posts will need to be installed to pre-set positions around park 400mm below ground set in concrete (successful supplier will be provided with a detailed plan once the contract is awarded).

The remaining 11 posts will be held by the Park for future installation (to replace vandalised/damaged ones).

Suppliers should quote separately as a breakdown:

1 Supply of 51 Posts to hold arrows for running routes – galvanised and powder coated in black 120mm x 120mm x 1200mm long square posts. The ‘holding spikes’ on the bollards are 50mm each side and are located 250mm from the bottom of the post.

2 Installation of 40 out of the 51 posts to pre-set positions around park 400mm below ground set in concrete.

All 51 posts should be delivered and 40 of these installed by as soon as possible in June 2014.

A sample may be requested before award.

This should be returned by 14.00hrs on 4 June 2014 at the very latest.
