Description
The University of Sunderland seek to procure a Large format 3D printer utilising Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM)/Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) process capable of printing part in a variety of materials that must include but not limited to PLA and PVA. Additional materials such as TPU, Nylon and Polycarbonate would be an advantage.
o The print volume should measure at least 1.0m x 1.0m x 0.5m and must be possible to be delivered through a doorway 118cm wide and 198cm high.
o Due to the size of the print bed an auto levelling system is essential.
o The bed must be heated to facilitate good bed adhesion and reduce warping during print runs.
o Network connection via Ethernet is essential.
o Must have two separate filament extruders. Nozzles should be swappable and offer a variety of sizes up to at least 2mm. As this printer will be used to print large objects, it is essential that the extruder has a high output capable of at least 30mm3/S.
o Minimum layer height should be 50 microns.
o Software for processing the CAD data into the suitable print file and for control of any associated processes must be supplied and included in the proposal.
