Inclusive of data system (appropriate operating software and compatible PC), warranty, service contract & training.
NB. Suppliers may quote for one, two or all three pieces of equipment; and all shall be evaluated separately. Estimated price includes for service contract / maintenance costs up to a period of 5 years; however the purchase and length of any service contract / maintenance agreement purchased is subject to quality of those proposed at tender stage.

1)Short description

One gas chromatograph (GC) system is to be supplied, delivered and installed at the Glasgow Scientific Services laboratory in Glasgow. Requirement is for a GC configured with a flame ionisation detector and electron capture detector. The system must be capable of analysing a wide variety of different food and environmental sample types covering a wide dynamic working range. Requirement is also inclusive of data system (appropriate operating software and compatible PC), warranty, service contract & training.

Lot No: 2 Lot title: Gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer system

1)Short description

One gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer (GCMS) system is to be supplied, delivered and installed at the Glasgow Scientific Services laboratory in Glasgow. Requirement is for a triple quadrupole GCMS. The system must be capable of analysing a wide variety of different food and environmental sample types in electron ionisation mode, covering a wide dynamic working range. The option of positive and negative chemical ionisation modes is also considered. The GCMS should also be fitted with an electron capture detector.
Requirement is also inclusive of data system (appropriate operating software and compatible PC), warranty, service contract & training.

They must analyse these samples free of charge under specific test conditions and results of the validation / sampling exercise must be returned to Glasgow Scientific Services within Glasgow City Council to the address and by the date and time specified in the ITT documentation. VI.4.2)Lodging of appeals

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: Glasgow City Council will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point of information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. This period allows unsuccessful tenderers to seek further debriefing from the contracting authority before the contract is entered into. Such additional information should be required from the procuring officer (see details in Section I.1 of the Contract Notice). If an appeal regarding the award of the contract has not been successfully resolved the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (SS1 2006 No 1) provides for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the Sheriff Court or Court of Session.
