To supply the Authority with a range of chemical products and detergents, including chemical and dishwasher dosing dispensing units, kitchen hygiene, food hygiene and cleaning products and provide maintenance support for all dishwasher dosing and chemical dispensing equipment.
— To provide technical advice and support to the Authority.
The Catering and Retail Services (CRS) of the House of Commons (HOC) and House of Lords (The Authority) are intending to put in place a contract for the Supply and delivery of Chemical Cleaning Products. The exact requirements will be detailed in the tender stage of this procurement, however, suppliers must be able to:
— Provide a range of high quality and fit for purpose chemical products and detergents, including chemical and dishwasher dosing dispensing units, kitchen hygiene, food hygiene and cleaning products for use within the catering facilities and outlets within the Parliamentary Estate, and provide maintenance support for all dishwasher dosing and chemical dispensing equipment,
— Provide technical advice and support to the Authority; including an insight into the food safety hygiene and cleaning chemicals it should be using,
— Provide COSHH training for catering and retail services staff members of the Authority.
The Authority requires a minimum delivery service of day 1 for day 3 for the continuity of the core business operational requirements. The Authority is looking for various service options, including free on loan for all chemical and dishwasher dosing dispensing units; to provide installation of equipment for new dishwashers including calibration and set up; to provide hygiene dishwasher checks to include temperature – water- mineral content – cleanliness.
The Authority is looking to put in place a contract which consistently delivers a professional and competent service with high quality products. The contract will be for a 2 year period. The Authority is intending to appoint one supplier for this product category who will be able to provide the requirements as detailed and in addition offers improved innovation and value for money through processes and other aspects such as sustainability, effective category contract management, advisory/technical and maintenance support and training for staff.
— To provide COSHH training for catering and retail services staff members of the Authority.

The House of Commons operate an Offsite Consolidation Centre (OSCC) in NW10 where all deliveries must be made. Deliveries will be allocated a time slot which must be adhered to. Suppliers will be given full details and guidance upon award of the contract. Suppliers should note that for this product group the allocated times for deliveries is between the hours of 00. – 12:00 am (midday).
