For over 20 years, the Colleges of Oxford University have had in place collective purchasing arrangements for various food commodities. After a very thorough process in 2009, ASL was selected as the agent for Foodquad (FQ) to manage their procurement contract requirements and to monitor and guide Suppliers appointed to supply the Colleges of Oxford University and its associate members.
Foodquad have also employed acquire services to provide and implement a full e-procurement solution epsys into their business.
To achieve this the current contracts have been brought to an end at a coterminus juncture and the products embraced within these dispersed into 24 individual lots.
The lots cover fresh poultry, fresh game, fresh red meat, fresh bacon, cooked meats & deli, fresh fish, frozen fish, fresh fruit & veg, milk, cream, butter & spreads, yoghurts, smoothies & milkshakes, cheese board, cheese, eggs, combined frozen, grocery, hot beverages – tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cold beverages – fruit juice, mineral water, sandwiches, bakery fresh, bakery frozen, edible oils – bulk delivery & collection, confectionery, crisps, snacking.
The approximate value of all lots is 8 500 000 GBP per annum. The anticipated contract duration is 2 + 1 years.
Contractors are invited to bid on single or multiple lots or as a consolidated supply option by bidding on all lots.
Tenderers by submitting to this tender do so on the basis that they have the capability to deliver to all colleges & associate members located within Oxford, meet the specified delivery slots, offer day one for day two delivery, trade electronically through epsys and support FQ initiatives and drive toward a full collective.
