Justification for a framework agreement, the duration of which exceeds four years: The three Fire and Rescue Services located within Wales will be eligible to utilise this framework at any point throughout its duration.
The framework will be split into various lots per region. Due to the geographical nature of the delivery requirements there will be 2 regions, i.e. Region A (South Wales Fire and Rescue and Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Areas) and Region B (North Wales Fire and Rescue Service Areas).
The Framework period will be 4 years from the 1.10.2013. The prices submitted will remain fixed for 1 year, after which they may be reviewed and ammended with the approval of all parties.

This is a collaborative project being undertaken by South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, and is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government. The 3 Welsh Fire and Rescue Services (FRS) are collaborating on a tender for the procurement of a call off framework agreement for the provision of Home Fire Safety Equipment.
The aim of the tender is to establish a framework of service providers to operate over a 4 year period, from which any of the 3 Welsh FRS will be able to call off a range of home fire and safety equipment which will include the following broad categories:
Electrical Items
Bedding Packs
Ashtrays
Sprinkler Units
Misting Systems
Stove Alarm
Letterboxes.
