Description of the goods or services required

Supply of litter bins and dog waste bins to West Lothian Council and Falkirk Council.

Deliveries will be made to a single address in each each of the councils.

Specifications of the bins required are provided with the tender, and bids are sought for supply of each type of bin and any spares associated with their fixings and maintenance.

The bin specifications provided in the tender are not prescriptive in regard to the design of the bins required but establish the overall size, materials and colours required.

Total quantity or scope of tender

The overall estimated expenditure over the three year contract term is £132,000.

Estimated forcasted expenditure for Falkirk Council is £29,000 per year.

Estimated forecasted expenditure for West Lothian Council is £15,000 per year.

The above estimates are not contractually binding.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

All bidders will be required to complete and comply with the ‘Qualification’ section of our tender to participate in the tender process.

Contract award will be subject to acceptance of West Lothian Council Conditions of Contract (proposed amendments can be submitted by bidder).

At the discretion of West Lothian Council, contract award may be subject to a satisfactory review of business accounts and legislative/regulatory compliance.

Minimum insurance cover is mandatory – evidence of the required insurance cover will be required prior to contract award.

Additional Information

A sample is required of each bin for which a bid price is submitted within the tender.

All samples of bins are to be delivered to the West Lothian Council Waverley Depot in Bathgate prior to the tender submission deadline.

Evaluation of bins forms an integral part in the overall scoring of all bids.

Costs associated with the delivery and collection of samples are to be borne by the bidder.
