University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is tendering for the provision of a pharmacy dispensing robot. The bidder will be required to supply, install and provide a maintenance contract for the solution supplied. We require an automated dispensing system to deal with the rapid dispensing of a large number of different sized packs. The solution will be required to handle approximately 2,500 outputs per day (working hours 08.45 – 18:00) and manage 2,500 inputs per day to meet the dispensary’s current workload. The solution must be fully tried and tested and the supplier must be able to demonstrate experience in the installation and support of a similar system in a UK Hospital environment. The supplier must be able to design and install a system that will maximise the space available with the capacity to transport packs to dispensing points within the pharmacy dispensary and to include capability for input hopper for automated storage of packs. The Trust uses the JAC Pharmacy IT system for stock management and control and the bidder is expected to demonstrate the ability to interface successfully with JAC.
