Supply of Postal Franking Machinery plus ongoing annual maintenance

2.2 Description of the goods or services required

The requirement here is for the purchase of franking machinery and ongoing maintenance to replace the machinery in place at present within the mailroom of Angus House, Forfar which is the Headquarters of Angus Council. Just under half a million items of mail are processed annually through this mail room which has 2 franking machines to deal with this. The new machinery must be future proofed to allow the possibility of using other mail carriers both now and in the future and must also be able to provide relevant paperwork to allow the reclamation of VAT charged on mail items.
