II.4)Short description of nature and quantity or value of supplies or services:

APUC is continuing pre-procurement research into the supply of SIP and IP Handsets and associated licenses. Based upon ongoing research into this commodity, APUC have developed the following outline lot structure for this framework agreement:
Lot 1: generic SIP standard desk phone(s).
Lot 2: Microsoft Lync Optimised IP desk phone(s).
Lot 3: Alcatel-Lucent proprietary IP desk phone(s).
Lot 4: CISCO proprietary IP desk phone(s).
Lot 5: Mitel proprietary IP desk phone(s).
Lot 6: NEC proprietary IP desk phone(s).
Lot 7: siemens proprietary IP desk phone(s).
Lot 8: supply and installation of IP telephony hardware and systems.
At this stage, the above structure is not final and APUC invites those Manufacturers who would like APUC to consider the inclusion of a lot for proprietary IP Desk Phone(s) which are fully compatible (providing full functionality) with their proprietary telecommunications system should contact APUC as soon as possible.
