Description of the contract

Software package and information systems. Sales, Marketing and Business intelligence software package. This document sets out the Socio Demographic and GIS Software requirements for DVLA. The Agency requires the successful Contractor to provide a UK postcode level geo-demographic classification licence built from census and a range of consumer and commercial datasets that will enable effective discrimination between customer groups, to assist in segmentation, prospect targeting, market analysis and geographic catchment planning/analysis. The Contractor will supply a GUI (Graphical User Interface) to interrogate the classification, enable the classifications to be used with DVLA own customer data and facilitate the manipulation of that data to: • Assist in effective strategic thinking, formulation and planning • Enable the generation of customer insight • Enable targeting of communications via appropriate channels for audiences • Increases response and compliance levels by understanding more about the People/ business/customers/stakeholders we are talking with • Lower cost per acquisition in sales channels • Reduces Direct Mail (DM) and mailing wastage • Achieve value for money through effective cost and negotiation strategies • Improve internal capability • Enable DVLA to produce lookup tables that allocate the nearest geographical service provider to each UK postcode. • Produce graphical interpretations of catchments and coverage of various services Allow the viewing of Media catchments and for this to be overlaid with custom data • To allow the creation of an indexed profile of customers/audiences, that can also be compared against each other.
