Summary:

As Windows XP goes end of life and out of support on 8^th April 2014 and the Public Service Network (PSN) adopts a zero tolerance to noncompliance, the Councils must therefore migrate to a compliant and supported desktop (minimum i.e. Windows 7 Desktop, Windows 2008 R2 Server).

To achieve this a number of the existing assets will require new solid state disks (SSD’s) and memory modules.
