Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking expressions of interest for the supply of street lighting lanterns and associated products to the council.
The anticipated total spend is in the region of 1 076 000,00 (GBP) for the whole duration of the agreement (including extension periods).
This opportunity will feature three lots as detailed below, the value of spend and description is indicated. Suppliers who are successful following the pre-tender questionnaire evaluation will be invited to tender and will be able to bid for just one particular lot or all three should they wish to do so.
Lot 1 street lighting lanterns.
This lot includes both Lanterns with integral gear and asymmetric distribution for side entry fitting and Lanterns with integral gear and asymmetric distribution for post top fitting. The anticipated spend for this lot is 900 000 (GBP) for the whole duration of the agreement (including extension periods) although this cannot be guaranteed.
Lot 2 cut out’s, isolators and earth blocks.
The anticipated spend for this lot is 52 000 (GBP) for the whole duration of the agreement (including extension periods) although this cannot be guaranteed.
Lot 3 street lamps.
The anticipated spend for this lot is 124 000 (GBP) for the whole duration of the agreement (including extension periods) although this cannot be guaranteed.
The framework will be awarded initially for a period of 12 months, with the option to extend at the sole discretion of RMBC for a further three 12 month periods, each on a year by year basis.
The intention is to award to a sole supplier per lot, however if one supplier cannot meet the council’s requirements then it will be awarded to additional participant(s).
All suppliers who wish to be considered for this tender must register on the SCMS system and electronically complete and upload the pre tender questionnaire document onto the system no later than 17:00 hrs on Monday 28.5.2012. All pre tender questionnaires must be returned through the system and will not be accepted by any other means.
This invitation is made on behalf of Rotherham Borough Council and all of the other local authorities in the United Kingdom (collectively described in this ITT where the context requires as “the Contracting Authorities”) who may wish to utilise the services of the successful tenderer (s).
The agreement will be a framework agreement let by Rotherham Borough Council for the benefit of Rotherham Borough Council and other Contracting Authorities who may wish to call-off orders under the agreement. Rotherham Borough Council will be a central purchasing body for this purpose.
The Contracting Authorities who will be entitled to call-off orders under the agreement are all of the local authorities in the United Kingdom, details of which can be found in the Municipal Yearbook published by Hemming Information Services, a division of the Hemming Group Limited, whose e-mail address is: myb@hgluk.com.
