Description of the contract

The London Borough of Hounslow (LBH) is looking to commission a wide range of Universal support services for their Adult and Young Carers (by Carer we mean an unpaid member of the public caring for an individual/s who because of illness or disability require support and care). These services will help sustain the wider implementation of Putting People First and personalisation in Hounslow and the Council’s Statement under The Breaks for Carers of Disabled Children Regulations 2011. This tender is split into four (4) different lots: Lot 1 Carers Information, Rights and Advocacy Services To deliver an advocacy, generalist information, advice and casework service as well as specialist advice on the subject of welfare benefits including the universal credit. Lot 2 Peer support and training To deliver peer support and training through imaginative and different methods including online support mechanisms. Lot 3 Specialist outreach services for Carers. To deliver an outreach service for all Carers, with particular emphasis on those who are Carers of individuals with long term conditions and those living with the experience of dementia. This will include young carers and parent carers. Lot 4 Young Carers support service The Young Carers Support Service will enable the young people to get the help that is available and to give support that builds the young person’s own strengths, knowledge, skills and innate abilities to manage their life successfully and enjoy a normal childhood along with their caring role. These services will support the development of preventative services that are more personalised to individuals and help people to remain within their homes for as long as possible delaying or avoiding the need for admission into health or care services. To receive the PQQ documentation, Expressions of Interest must be received by email to procurement@hounslow.gov.uk. You may express an interest in any number of Lots, but when expressing an interest in this opportunity, please state which Lot you are interested in receiving the necessary documentation. Any questions or queries should be made in writing by e-mail to procurement@hounslow.gov.uk and must be received no later than 1pm on 1st June 2012. The deadline for submission of Pre Qualification Questionnaires is1pm on 11th June 2012. All tenderers will be expected to provide their latest annual report, three years audited accounts, details of their skills and expertise in providing this type of service and details of similar contracts and any other information as specified within the PQQ documentation. All tenderers must be able to provide evidence of a successful track record in providing a similar service.
