Doncaster Council and the Supporting People Partnership are inviting tenders from suitably experienced organisations to provide a Supported Lodgings and Floating Support Service for Young People aged between 16-25 years of age under a framework agreement.

Doncaster Council and the Supporting People Partnership are inviting tenders from suitably experienced organisations to provide a Supported Lodgings and Floating Support Service for Young People aged between 16-25 years of age under a framework agreement. The Supported Lodgings service will operate 13 units of support (one unit is dedicated to the Youth Offending Service). The successful Provider will recruit, assess, train and support the Hosts through whom Support will be directly provided to Clients living as part of their household. The Hosts will provide safe and secure accommodation whilst offering emotional and practical support conducive to engagement in meaningful daytime occupation. Young people placed in Supported Lodgings shall acquire the skills necessary to eventually manage their own tenancy. The Provider and Host should work in partnership and adopt a holistic needs approach and work with other agencies including Health and Children and Young People’s Services. 30 units of Floating Support will offer housing related support and advice/ assistance to enable clients to access, sustain and maintain accommodation – e.g. rent payments, understanding the responsibilities of living in a tenancy and developing the practical skills that enable them to successfully maintain it. The maximum budget for the contract is £170,000 per annum (+£8,000 per annum for the YOS bed) The contract will be for a period of three years which may be extended up to two twelve month periods subject to performance and continued funding. Applicants should be aware that Transfer of Undertaking (Protection of Employment Regulations (TUPE) may apply to this contract.
