NHS Commercial Solutions acting on behalf of Kent and Medway Area Team – NHS England invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Health Service Providers. This procurement seeks a provider for the provision of Surrey Prison Mental Health Services to 4 prisons in Surrey. A brief description of the requirement is provided below: Across Kent, Surrey and Sussex, NHS England aims to improve access to and the quality of health services for offenders whilst in the custody of HMPS. The prison management are very supportive of the health agenda and are keen to work with health colleagues for the benefit of offenders. Service providers are expected to be expert, effective and innovative in facing the challenges of work in this context bringing experience and expertise from mainstream and other settings in order to benefit those in custody. Bids are sought to provide evidence based interventions and treatments that promote and maintain good mental health and well-being that is experienced by people who use services as inclusive, empowering and effective. The service required will be to provide access to expertise in Learning Disability, Personality Disorder and Dual Diagnosis and the opportunity to engage in meaningful, valuing therapeutic daytime activity where necessary. Services will provide access to comprehensive, ‘end to end’ mental health services that are multi-disciplinary in nature and available across the spectrum of mental illness.
