We intend to award a contract over 3 years for the Survey of the Quality of Visitor Experience at sites managed by Natural Resources Wales and the Forestry Commission in England.
The aim of this work is to conduct a visitor survey of a total of 42 sites. The survey will provide information on the quality of visitor experience at each site and use a set of standard questions so that the quality of visitor experience at each site can be scored, benchmarked and tracked over time.
We would like bids to be tendered on the basis of surveying 42 sites and on the basis of achieving 9,000 completed face-to-face face surveys across the sites.
The location of sites is spread right across Wales and England and in a given year we would wish to see a good geographical spread of sites. The project steering group will provide a draft list of preferred locations before the start of each survey season.
There will be a requirement, at each site, to gain responses from a sample of people who are broadly representative of the visitors to that site. At sites in Wales, suppliers would need to offer the questionnaire bilingually in Welsh and English to visitors.
