II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

A variety of cleaning, maintenance and minor repair activity to be undertaken on potable water tanks, service reservoirs and contact tanks including but not limited to.
Cleaning with super chlorinated water.
Chemical cleaning.
Under water cleaning.
Condition surveys, investigations and reporting.
Underwater surveys and reporting.
Minor repairs to concrete, brickwork and masonry, structural steelwork, ladders and access covers, ball valves, pipe work and other miscellaneous work.
Roof waterproofing.
Taking reservoir cells and contact tanks out of service and returning to service.
This is a framework arrangement and so no guarantee of work volumes is given but it is anticipated that a total of approximately 160 reservoir cells and tanks will be cleaned and inspected per annum.
The size of these cells and tanks ranges from 1 m3 up to 50 000 m3.

Ariba will be used throughout the process to communicate.
It is the intention to award the framework/frameworks for a period of up to 7 years. initial award of 3 years plus options for up to two extensions of two years each making a total of up to seven years.
Volume information provided in the tender will be indicative and not a commitment to buy.
Shortlisting will take place at PQQ stage and again at RFP stage.
At PQQ stage there will be a number of pre-requisites and bidders failing to evidence conformance with the minimum thresholds may be eliminated at this point. Pre-requisits will include and are not limited to.
A minimum turn over of 1,000,000.00 GBP.
Provision of audited company accounts for the last two years.
Experience in the provision of similar services supported by brief details of 5 examples completed within the last three years.
Health and Safety ISO 18001 Certification (or similar) together with 3 rd Party accreditation for system and site activity.
Environmental ISO 14001 Certification (or similar) together with 3 rd Party accreditation for system and site activity.
