Newport City Homes, the contracting authority (a registered social landlord) is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to provide community alarm monitoring services (Telecare) to circa 3000 clients who reside in / around the city of Newport in Gwent. The Telecare services are to be provided for 24 hours per day, every day of the year, including public holidays, Christmas and Easter and calls will be monitored from Telecare alarms and peripheral alarm devices. The contracting authority is seeking to establish an initial 3 year contract with an option to extend,at the authority’s sole discretion, for an additional period of up to 2 years (in 12 month tranches). Bidders can request a PQQ until 5 days before the deadline for submission.
The contracting authority will not accept request’s for PQQ’s after this date.
Bidders who request a PQQ will also be provided with a project information memorandum (PIM) which provides outline information in relation to the services being procured.
The services to which this voluntary notice relates fall within Part B of Schedule 3, Part 10 of the Public Services Contracts Regulations 2006 (as amended) (the Regulations).
Although the contracting authority may voluntarily adopt certain provisions in the Regulations for the purposes of inter alia, applying selection criteria at PQQ stage, neither the publication of this voluntary notice nor the employment of any particular terminology nor any other indication shall be taken to mean that the contracting authority intends to hold itself bound by any of the Regulations save those applicable to Part B services.
