The mandatory priorities of the Newport public in-building wireless project are:
— to provide visitors access to free data communications services and, potentially local content and information
— provide network connectivity to the chosen sites with minimum download speeds of 100 Mbps
— migrate the existing public Wi-Fi network to this new managed service
— provide connectivity and services to the buildings listed in tender docs
— as a later phase to extend the service and network to additional public buildings to be agreed.
