Description of the contract

Outsourcing of Telehealthcare Engineering Team Medway Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified organisations that wish to submit a quote for the outsourcing of the Telehealthcare Engineering team contract. The contract involves: · A full installation and maintenance programme for the Medway Telehealthcare Service to include meeting the requirements of Referral, Service User Profiling, Tele-care Plan, Tailoring, Installation and Re-evaluation modules, as well as the KPIs, set out by the Telecare Services Association (TSA) Code of Practise 2009. · To operate a ‘9-5’ Monday-Friday service, but will be expected to work outside of these hours (evenings/weekends) when there is a business need (urgent cases with referrals or equipment faults) · Transfer of existing staff (TUPE) · To provide a full stock management and asset tracking facility. · To utilise a pool of engineering staff to cover staff absences, out of hour working (where necessary), minor electrical works, Part P installations and Gas Safe coordination. · To work with Medway Control Centre service desk to instate an appointment booking facility, to include any follow up meetings required. · To work mainly in the Medway towns but also in neighbouring boroughs. · To install all Telehealthcare equipment that is currently offered, and any future additions, in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines. This will also include the installation of key safes, where necessary. · To be TSA European Standards accredited and comply with the TSA Code of Practice 2009 Macro Key Performance Indicators. The proposed contract will be awarded for the initial period of two years, subject to performance. The proposed start date will be mid May 2012. Contracts will be awarded on the basis of most economically advantageous tender, comprising an evaluation of both quality and price. Interested parties must complete the combined Pre-Qualification Questionnaire and Tender Document. The completed document must be received into this office no later than 12 noon on 23rd March 2012.
