University of York – Tender for Automatic Door Service, Maintenance, and Associated Repair.
The University of York is looking to establish a contract with a single supplier to deliver Automatic Door Servicing, Maintenance and Associated Repair services. The successful supplier will work closely with the University in a partnership capacity and will be the preferred service provider.
Currently the University has a total of 157 automatic doors across its three campus sites. The majority of the doors located at the Heslington East campus are Besam doors and are typically 2-4 years old. The doors located at the Heslington West and Kings Manor campus sites are mostly Dorma doors with some Besam and range from 1 to 10 years in age.
The University currently operates doors manufactured by the following companies BESAM, DORMA, GEZE, IR ASTRO, RECORD, and it is a mandatory requirement of the contract that these door types are serviced, maintained, and repaired, including access to all parts required to execute the contract.
