Bridgwater College has a thriving Engineering department located in its flagship facility, the Energy Skills Centre, which was opened by the Secretary of State for Climate Change in January 2011.
Since then, the number of Engineering students at the College has more than doubled, and the training programmes on offer range from Engineering apprenticeships right through to HNCs HNDs and degree level programmes, and cover areas such as computer aided design, manufacturing and production technologies, electrical and electronic engineering, robotics and control engineering, mechanical, maintenance, welding and fabrication, aerospace or automotive. Short courses in lean, BIT, parametric solid modelling, welding, machining and CAD are also available.
To demonstrate its commitment to the promotion of engineering training in the South West, Bridgwater College is delighted to be joining the Engineering Innovation Network South West in supporting innovation for small to medium sized companies. As a leading training provider with an excellent reputation for providing business training solutions, we are delighted to be able to share our expertise in order to drive, develop and deliver business benefits to a wider range of engineering businesses, whilst giving our students some valuable industry experience
With courses ranging from computer aided design, manufacturing and production technologies, electrical and electronic engineering, robotics and control engineering, mechanical, maintenance, welding and fabrication, aerospace or automotive, we have full-time courses and apprenticeships to suit every need.
The College has a requirement to kit out a new workshop. The new workshop will be situated in our current Realistic Working Environment.
