Provision of School catering services at Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College (BBEC) based in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The duration of the contract will be for an initial term of 3 years commencing on 1.9.2016 and concluding on 31.8.2019. Consideration will be given to a possible extension period of a further 2 years. To support and develop the catering service the School require capital investment for the period of the contract term(s).

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:
Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College moved into the new School building in 2008 after an extensive 26 000 000 GBP building project. Located in South Bradford, the School educates pupils ranging from 11-18 years, serving the large local community with 1 439 pupils on role for September 2016. On 1stSeptember the School will become an Academy, joining the Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust (BDAT).
The School are looking for a partnership with a catering provider whose philosophy is to deliver excellence whilst keeping a focus on the key objectives as detailed in the tender document.
The School need investment as part of the contract requiring the installation of a new Biometric cashless system, innovative ideas from industry experts with funding for the 6th form and dining atrium areas, and financing for the School to organise extra-curricular lessons and activities.
The contractor must be able to demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the Secondary/Academy School sector and should hold similar contracts which are both local and relevant to the size of this contract.

This contract falls under the scope of Social and Other Specific Services and is covered by the Light-Touch Rules Regime. As such a type of ‘pseudo’ open procedure with modifications is to be followed:
1. Tenderers should pay attention to the reduced time-frame as outlined in the Tender Document;
