Tenders are invited to carry out small scoping or proof-of-principle studies, looking at the use of novel technologies for detection of chemical and/or microbiological contamination in food or on food surfaces. We are looking to fund a number of projects.
The aim is to identify whether new technologies, or technologies not currently widely used in relation to food, could provide an effective means of detecting chemical or and/or microbiological contamination of food. These could be aimed at production premises (including abattoirs), or places where food is prepared (including restaurants and the home).
