The endoscopy service at CUH would like to procure the services of an external supplier to provide endoscopy services to NHS patients on Sundays. The purpose of this is in order to manage current activity levels and to ensure we have sufficient capacity to meet our predicted demand.

CUH wishes to put in place a 12 month contract with the external supplier, with the option of extending in 12 monthly increments (to a total of 36 months). This will allow the Trust maximum flexibility when planning for next steps following this contract. The Trust requires the pricing for the services to be at or below tariff.

CUH have selected accelerated procedure due to time restrictions on patient pathways which were unforeseen by the Trust due to NICE guidelines changing. CUH anticipated a growth in patient referrals in 12 months, we have seen this within 3 months.
