Tender for Foster Carer Assessments

Tender for the Provision of Foster Carer Assessments, Special Guardianship Orders Assessments and Connected Persons Assessments. Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking to engage a number of providers under a framework agreement to undertake a variety of assessments on behalf of the council. This will include Foster Carer, Special Guardianship Order and Connected Persons (Family and Friends) Assessments. Providers will need to have available experienced, qualified and registered Independent Social Workers (assessors) to undertake the assessments as directed by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council (MBC), the courts or other bodies within specific timescales. Providers will be required to have in place sound management systems to support assessors and quality assurance mechanisms for any work undertaken prior to it being submitted to the council. The service will be divided into six frameworks of social work assessments which include: Lot 1 Initial Assessments – Home Visits Sub-Criteria (i) excluding Disclosure and Barring System (DBS) disclosure checks, medical checks and other checks (ii) including Disclosure and Barring System (DBS) disclosure checks, medical checks, other required checks and references Lot 2 Foster Carer Assessments Lot 3 Connected Persons (Family and Friends) Assessments Lot 4 Special Guardianship Orders (SGO) Assessments Sub-Criteria (i) excluding Disclosure and Barring System (DBS) disclosure checks, medical checks and other checks (ii) including Disclosure and Barring System (DBS) disclosure checks, medical checks, other required checks. Each Lot will be made up of a framework of no more than four providers.
