Wales & West Utilities (WWU) is a regulated gas distribution company that owns and operates the gas network infrastructure in Wales and South West England.
WWU is seeking expressions of interest from the market for the supply of new and innovative flow stopping equipment that offer savings in labour and reinstatement costs than the conventional two bag flow stopping system. An example of this could be a twin bagtube system that uses two inflatable bags inserted into the gas main through a single drilling.
The equipment will be used on site for flow stopping operations on low pressure (up to 75mb) metallic and polyethylene gas pipelines up to 300mm diameter.
WWU has a requirement to purchase a total of circa 100 no. bagging off kits, comprising 40 no. two way sets and 60 no. three way sets. All equipment is to be delivered by 31/12/2013.
