Hire of helicopters with crew. Requests to participate are sought for the provision of a Falkland islands support helicopter service capability to support British Forces South Atlantic Islands (BFSAI), based in the Falkland islands. It is anticipated this service will be provided on a contractor owned, contractor operated (COCO) basis for an initial period of between one year and eight months and two years and eight months with options to extend for a further 2 years.
Interested parties should note that the contracting authority reserves the right to carry out a supplier down selection exercise via pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) prior to issue of invitations to tender.

The full service provision of support helicopters to BFSAI with anticipated tasking of approximately 180 hours per month, six days per week during all seasons and in all prevailing weather conditions.
In addition, as an indication the service will include carriage of foods, provisions, classified mail (with courier), non-classified and private mail, hazardous materials (marked and carrying dangerous goods (DG) certificate), ordnance (internal/external); and animals up to the size of police, explosive ordnance disposal and rescue dogs. Please note that the full detailed requirement will be provided in the tender pack.

Range: between 7 000 000 and 9 000 000 GBP

Description of these options: The contract will be for a period of between one year and eight months and two years and eight months with options to extend for a possible two years. The exercising of these options will be at the sole discretion of the contracting authority. Bidders will be expected to provide the following options in their bids:

Option 2: two x one year extensions (total two-years).
