The Isle of Wight Council (‘the Authority’) invites tenders from suitably qualified suppliers (‘Potential Suppliers’) for the provision of The Isle of Wight carers support service. The Isle of Wight Council understand the value of supporting the work and dedication of the island’s unpaid informal carers. Through the introduction of the care close to home strategy and the seven pillars within it. The vision of helping people maintain or improve their well-being and to live as independently as possible is of the up most importance for our Island community. It has been identified through the Isle of Wight health and care plan, it is also of the upmost importance to ensure that our community is properly resourced and supported to stay healthy and independent. Having a dynamic and robust carer support service is an important element of ensuring the success of these strategies. The service will provide information, advice, support and guidance to the individuals who are undertaking an informal caring role within our island community. The service will offer outcome focused support. For individuals to ensure that their needs are assessed and ultimately met by the appropriate support and services. Whilst managing expectations in a climate of reducing public funds.
