We are seeking a fee proposal for Mechanical and Electrical Engineer Services including a BREEAM accredited profesional for the development of a Teaching Centre at the Park Campus. The University has signed a partnership agreement with an organization called INTO. The partnership will see growth in International student numbers which will help secure additional income streams for the University. The project is to develop a 3 to 3,500 sq m teaching facility on the footprint of the Owen Building. At this stage we have completed initial discussions with Cheltenham Borough Council to understand first thoughts on demolishing and rebuilding accommodation on this outline. The Park campus sits within a conservation area. The University has developed an Outline Planning Application that presents an updated campus Masterplan. The Masterplan sets out details of the INTO building plus longer term redevelopment of the library facility contained within the Waterworth building. The 2nd phase library redevelopment is not part of this scheme. We anticipate submitting the outline application shortly. Please find attached copies of some plans for the proposed scheme.
The project seeks to develop a Teaching and library for occupation September 2016.
