NHS South of England Procurement Services (SoEPS), acting on behalf of Health Education England (HEE — the Commissioner) are commencing a tender for the provision of Membership Examination of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) Preparation Courses for Specialist Trainees in General Practice in Health Education England (HEE) South West.
Health Education England (HEE) supports the delivery of excellent healthcare and health improvement to the patients and public of England by ensuring that the workforce of today and tomorrow has the right numbers, skills, values and behaviours at the right time and in the right place.
All GP Specialist Trainees (GPSTs) are required to pass the Membership Examination of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in order to be able to apply for a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at the end of their training programme. The MRCGP exam consists of 3 parts all of which must be passed for completion. The first part is Work Place Based Assessment (WPBA), which is assessed at Annual Review of Competence Progression (ARCP) panels. The other 2 parts are the Applied Knowledge Test (AKT) and Clinical Skills Assessment (CSA).
The initial contract period of 3 years will be a maximum value of 450 000 GBP exclusive of VAT.
The Authority retains the option to extend the contracts by a further 2 year period.
The contract will commence on 1.8.2019, with the actual service commencement date of 1.9.2019.

The e-portal system will shutdown at 12:00 p.m. and any un-submitted bids not registered to the system at this time will not be accepted.
