Description of the contract

Middlesbrough Council are seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced Providers who wish to be considered for a contract for the provision of an Assessment and Recovery Service, which will provide people with mental health problems with a comprehensive assessment of their independent living skills, develop personalised recovery plans and deliver support to improve their skills and address their broader needs. The Service is to be delivered from a property in Middlesbrough, which will house 7 people for up to 12 weeks. An office will be located within the property, which will provide a base for staff. The office will also be used by staff employed by Tees Valley Housing Limited, who will be responsible for managing the building and providing a housing related support service. The contract will be for a period of 2 years, with the possibility of a further 12 month extension. The contract will be awarded on the basis of price and quality, the most economically advantageous tender, and it is anticipated that the contract will commence in December 2013.
