This contract includes the design, manufacture, delivery, installation and commissioning of 13No ‘above ground’ passenger conveyors (lengths between 40M to 55M) serving Terminal 5 track transit system (TTS), as follows:-.
(1) 4No in the Departures TTS Walkway between T5A and T5B;
(2) 2No in the Departures TTS Walkway between T5B and T5C;
(3) 4No in the Arrivals TTS Walkway between T5A and T5B;
(4) 3No in the Arrivals TTS Walkway between T5B and T5C.
The passenger conveyors are to be designed and manufactured in accordance with the BAA design performance standards and are to conform with the project brief engineering scope included within the invitation to tender documentation.
The passenger conveyors are to be delivered to the Heathrow Construction Logistics Centre, for final positioning by others before installation and commissioning by the conveyor supplier.

Where applicable similar information shall be provided for each Joint Venture / Consortium partner.

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: A standstill period will be incorporated at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into. The Utilities Contracts Regulations (SI 2006 No 6) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court.
