Description

The Council currently has an O365 Tenancy and provides software services such as (Exchange online, Sharepoint, Onedrive, Teams, Yammer). Due to a move to new ways of modern working practice and having a more dispersed workforce. There is therefore a need to provide better monitoring and alerting for Key O365 services

BCC requires an O365 monitoring solution that will be able to capture performance data and identify and alert us to any underlying issues that may be impacting our sites and users. The solution must be able to monitor services at key locations (Offices, Datacentres) within our internal network and over our VPN links.

The key Services we would need to monitor (but not exclusive) are:

o Ms Exchange 2016 Online
o Mail routing
o On Premise servers (Hybrid solution)
o Sharepoint Online
o We do have a few on premise servers (plan to move to online)
o OneDrive
o Ms Teams
o Yammer
o Azure
o Azure AD Connect Sync
o Federation services
o Any Network / Location monitoring or testing.
o BCC Url’s (websites – i.e Birmingham.gov.uk).
o Certificate health checks.
