The purpose of this Tender is to appoint a single contractor.
The works comprises of the provision and delivery of a maintenance agreement on all fire and intruder alarms installations, to include for the regular maintenance of each installation, attendance at breakdowns and all repairs required to the equipment which are as a result of normal operation.
The provision of an emergency, twenty-four hour, seven days per week call-out service to secure and make safe Council lifts is an essential and integral part of this work and is ‘of the essence’ as regards the award and performance of the contract.
The contractor’s representative must be on site within one hour of notification of a callout and must provide the Council with a contact name and telephone number for this purpose.
A select list of no more than 6 contractors will be established from which tenders will subsequently be invited.
The approximate anticipated budget is GBP 75,000 per year (breakdown of value is Fire alarm GBP 50,000 and Intruder GBP 25,000).
