Progress Housing Group (PHG) are in the process of replacing their Hitachi SAN storage and HP Blade server environment due to this now reaching the end of is useful life. This tender is for the full replacement of this hardware, and software support maintenance, updates and any upgrades to be included. Following the installation of the hardware, Progress Housing IT want to make a change to the Citrix XenDesktop environment in the way desktops are delivered. The 7 non-persistent desktop images will need to be delivered through Citrix Machine Creation Services (MCS) and changed from Provisioning Server (PVS). The It department will require assistance in this installing and configuring the servers, installing the software, setting up the processes for deliver and moving the existing images and in readying our base Windows 10 desktop for testing the new MCS environment.

Progress Housing Group are a Housing Association, managing 11 000 homes across the UK delivering housing related services for over 20 years. The main office is based in Leyland in Lancashire, the Group employ around 600 staff across 4 main office buildings, 3 in Leyland and one in Lytham St Annes, as well as another office in Leeds and satellite offices in Lincoln, Boston and Grantham. The main offices above are linked by point to point circuits and the smaller offices in Leeds and Lincoln all connect to the Groups Citrix XenDesktop environment over the internet using Netscaler gateways.
