Frequency and value of the contracts to be awarded: It is anticipated that on a quarterly basis, a mini-competition process will be used to award requirements for general tree works. Emergency tree works will be on a direct award basis. Framework Contractors will be ranked on the basis of their overall score. When emergency works are required, the Contractor ranked in 1st place will be contacted and asked to attend within 1 hour. If the Contractor ranked in 1st place is unable to attend to the emergency or is unable to be contacted, the Contractor ranked in 2nd place will be contacted and so on.
II.1.5)Short description of the contract or purchase(s)
In order to be considered for this Contract, Suppliers must hold and maintain for the lifetime of the Contract, membership of the Arboricultural Association Approved Contractors Scheme (ArbAC).
The Contract is anticipated to start on 6.8.2016 for an initial period of 3 years. There is an option to extend the contract for a further 12 month period subject to funding, business need and satisfactory performance.

Description of particular conditions: In order to be considered for this Contract, Suppliers must hold and maintain for the lifetime of the Contract, membership of the Arboricultural Association Approved Contractors Scheme (ArbAC).
