Buckinghamshire County Council requires a redesign of its websites to include the main public site, private or extranet site, intranet, several microsites and a solution for mobile.
This work will form part of the Web Transformation Programme which will support the corporate strategy to increase the level of customer self service, decrease the number of printed materials and increase digital communication. Further objectives of the project are:
1. Reduce the total cost of ownership of servicing and maintaining the authorities’ websites.
2. Produce a high-impact, modern and appealing design
3. Is interactive through social media, forums, file uploading facilities and ecommerce
4. A fully functional structure that is adaptable and has the flexibility to react quickly to change requests from both a technical and content perspective.
5. Offers an interactive and operable experience to users of mobile devices across multi platforms.
The project will consist of 3 phases:
— phase 1 – Selection of the supplier to supply, design, develop and host the CMS,
— phase 2 – Planning and development of the blueprint,
— phase 3 – Implementation and service delivery.
South Bucks District Council shall be able to access this contract during its lifetime.
The estimated go live for this contract is the 1.5.2013.
