The main purpose of the framework contract for each lot will be the purchase of information resources; i.e. the Agency will conclude a minimum of 3 short-form framework contracts in cascading order. The purpose is to achieve best value for the Information Centre in the selection, acquisition, processing and delivery of books (print), e-books, serial subscriptions (print & electronic) and documents (e.g. articles) to its users.
The Information Centre considers that it may require upgrading its current approach to ordering and purchasing information products or sources both in print and electronic formats. It is envisaged that any proposed new services will speed up ordering procedures and, in addition, provide wider access to its collections.
