The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking to procure a suite of management information systems to be used within its children’s services to support the delivery of school admissions, children’s centre programme, Families Information Service (FIS) and education welfare.
The Council’s preference is that these systems are to be supplied as a single package by one supplier, that would enable the integration of child level data across these areas Lambeth are implementing Open Services as a core element of delivering the council’s ICT strategy, which will mean the following:
— All systems will able to exchange information,
— Information will be retrieved simply from multiple systems, and linked and aggregated to provide reporting and business intelligence,
— Data can easily be exchanged with strategic partners and other organisations.
— Open data for public release can easily be derived and released from the information stored.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

This contract is for the supply, installation, implementation and maintenance of MIS (Management Information Systems) to be procured via a single supplier as one package of services.
The contract value is estimated to be 803,000 GBP of which it is anticipated that the cost for the first 2 years of the contract will be 268,000 GBP and 535,000 GBP for the 10 year cumulative extension option to be implemented by extending the overall contract by 2 years at a time.
These information systems will comprise of :
1) – a management information system used in Lambeth children’s centres and by the Cooperative Early Adopter Programme providers in one o’clock clubs and adventure playgrounds
2) A System used by the Families Information Service and early year’s workforce development. The system stores information about services and activities for families with children aged 0-19, it serves as a booking system for early years courses, and receives information from Ofsted about registered childcare in the area.
3) A system that stores the school admission data for every child requiring a school place in Lambeth.
