The University of Birmingham is looking to lease a refurbished railway carriage. The refurbished carriage will be fitted with equipment to allow for on-site processing of data until June 2015. The budget is in the region of GBP 55k – GBP 60k. Innovative proposals are encouraged.
This is to be funded by the HiTech Rail project which is an ERDF-funded initiative aimed at enabling West Midlands SMEs to develop innovative rail products. The project is based in the Centre for Railway Research and Education at the University of Birmingham.

This tender is related to the Hi Tech Rail project, which is receiving part funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The project is aimed at West Midlands SMEs, demonstrating world-leading characterisation technology through equipment demonstrators within facilities on a mobile unit and facilities based in the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences.
