The maintenance shall be both proactive and reative with a 24/7 call out service. As a Hospital the response times will be crucial.
The maintenance and fault investigation engineers will be directly employed, except for specialist services such as rewinds of electric motors. The engineers shall be trained to the recognised industry standards and the company shall be accredited to L E I A.
The company shall employ computerised record keeping for both proactive and reactive maintenance. The system shall allow the Trust to be aware of the scheduled visits and to review the fault occurances, the reasons for the faults and the clear of the fault so all can be reviewed at regular meetings.
This service will be for an initial period of 3 years with 2 potential extension of 1 year , dependent upon performance – making the maximum possible period of 5 years (3+1+1).
