Expressions of interest are invited by NESSP for a contract to provide high quality, building cleaning services that provide value for money for a period of 3 years commencing 1.2.2013 (with the option to extend for a further 12 months).
NESSP is a not for profit collaborative partnership comprising the following colleges who intend to participate in this contract – Sunderland College, Tyne Metropolitan College, South Tyneside College and Hartlepool 6th Form College.
We are seeking suppliers who have a strong customer focus, consistently deliver excellent service and quality, provide value for money and have an ethos of getting it right first time every time. The service will include cleaning of offices, classrooms, dining areas, workshops, washrooms, reception areas, and halls of residence (South Tyneside College). The frequency and number of hours will vary between the colleges and will be specified in the tender documentation. The successful contractor(s) will be required to provide their own cleaning supplies and equipment unless specified otherwise. Further information regarding the requirements is provided in Annex B. NESSP is of the opinion that the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 apply to this contract.

This contract is for the provision of high quality, internal building cleaning services on a daily basis. The contract is divided into 4 lots which covers the requirements of 4 colleges (16 locations). Based on an approximate annual value of 985 000 GBP, the total value of the contract over the full 4 year period of contract (including extension) is 3 940 000 GBP. The deadline for submitting your response via https:in-tendhost.co.uk/nessp is 12:00 hours on Monday 20.8.2012. Suppliers are advised to allow adequate time for uploading documents and to dispatch the electronic response well in advance of the closing time to avoid any last minute problems. All staff working in the Colleges and associated sites must be enhanced CRB checked and cleared prior to contract start.

NESSP is a not for profit collaborative partnership comprising the following partner colleges: Sunderland College, South Tyneside College, Tyne Metropolitan College and Hartlepool 6th Form College.
NESSP is one of the most exciting and innovative projects in today’s Further Education Sector. At a time when there is a need to produce savings across the public sector in the face of massive budget cuts, this project offers a route to a significant part of the solution. With a total turnover of almost 100 000 000 GBP, in excess of 43 000 students per year and over 1 200 apprenticeships, the partners provide training and services to a wide range of sectors, in addition to more traditional further education delivery and work in partnership with universities to deliver degree level courses such as Foundation degrees. NESSP considers that this contract may be suitable for small to medium sized enterprises (SME’s), however any selection of Tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out in the PQQ and the contract will be awarded on the basis of most economically advantageous tender.
