June 2015 will see the opening of the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital (NSECH) at Cramlington. This hospital will be the first of its kind in the country dedicated to providing emergency and acute care seven days a week for our patients.
The Trust is seeking to appoint, through a competitive tendering process, a supplier to provide a 10 year Radiology Managed Equipment Service (MES) for NSECH, including the following modalities:
Static X-Ray
Mobile X-Ray
Mobile Image Intensifiers
Ultrasound
Angiography
Computed Tomography (CT)
The over-arching requirements of the MES are as follows:
Provision of all required equipment
Installation and delivery of all equipment
Maintenance and servicing of all equipment
Training of Trust staff on all equipment
Guaranteed availability and ‘up-time’ of all equipment
Replacement of equipment as per agreed lifecycles
Futureproofing to address clinical technological advances and to meet ongoing service developments
Removal and disposal of all equipment at the end of the agreed lifecycles and the Contract term
