MMU is seeking to purchase a research management system to support the accurate recording, tracking and reporting for all Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE) funded projects (awards/contracts) from initial bid development, to approval, completion and project closure.
The University wants to increase confidence in its data and reporting capabilities. In order to achieve this, the system must be capable of supporting complex and multi-institutional projects; capable of slicing and dicing data to enable accurate historical, current and forecast reporting. This should support both internal (Operational and Strategic Management Information) and external reporting (HEFCE; Research Council) requirements.
Over the last 12 months, the University has undertaken a review to standardise the business processes underpinning the management of RKE funded projects. The system will be expected to fully support (systematise) the processes, integrate with MMU systems and have the capacity for future development. This includes:
