II.1.5)Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

NHS Highland (“the Authority”) is working in collaboration with The Highland Council (“Partnering Organisation”) to put in place a Framework Agreement for Aids for Daily Living which have been identified by the Occupational Therapists, other AHPs and nurses as being the items most regularly purchased for issue to their clients who are children, elderly, less able and / or in rehabilitation.
The Framework Agreement shall consist of 13 Lots, 12 of which shall be managed by NHS Highalnd (Lot 1 — 12) and the remaining Lot shall be managed by The Highland Council (Lot 13):

It is intended that a single supplier shall be awarded to provide Lots 1 — 12 under this Framework Agreement which shall be operated by NHS Highland. For Lot 13, all suppliers who have submitted a compliant tender shall be appointed and this Lot shall be operated by The Highland Council only.

There is no de-minimus on the number of items to be supplied within the above categories i.e. suppliers may supply one, any combination of or a full range of aids for daily living as appropriate.
2. Sensory Dynamic Orthoses and Support Aids — Additional Services / Customised Items
Contractors’ shall be required to indicate which options for the measuring service for Orthoses garments, support and aids shall be provided; Option (C) measuring service and Option (D) training supplied to the Authority staff.
